We’ve got big news and a reason to celebrate.
On April 29, 1999, we offered our first NYC Food Tour to the public. Since then, we’ve toured over 250,000 people and spent over 3 million dollars on food, thereby supporting many small, local businesses.
We’ve been growing strong for 15 years–all because of hard work, good eating, lots of walking, and the most important element–YOU! Our tours in all five neighborhoods–the Original Greenwich Village tour, the Chelsea Market and Meatpacking District tour, the Central Village tour, the Nolita tour, and the Chinatown tour–are the best they could be.
We celebrated 15 YEARS OF FOODS OF NY TOURS with an Anniversary Week filled with giveaways, prizes, trivia, and sweets. Dozens of our local partners donated gift baskets and special raffle gifts, including Murray’s Cheese Shop, Milk & Cookies Bakery, Lucy’s Whey, Sullivan Street Tea and Spice Company, Macelleria, NY Shaving Company, and Royce’ Chocolates. We even partnered with Rafele Ristorante to create our own signature cocktail!
We also celebrated 15 YEARS OF FOODS OF NY TOURS by giving back. We spent Tuesday, April 15th, volunteering at the Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen, which has served New York’s hungry since 1982. They serve up to 1,200 people every day!
