Meet Luigi, one of the 4 cousins behind Little Cupcake Bakeshop on our Nolita/ Noho Tour!



MUST EAT ITEM: Luigi’s current favorite is his newest creation, the hummingbird cake (banana, pineapple and walnut) usually served with the cream cheese frosting, but Luigi improves on perfection by topping it with peanut butter cream cheese frosting. Combining his favorite things, peanut butter and bananas. Right now it is a special but will be added to the menu soon and I can’t wait to try it! Luigi’s go to cupcake is the Dreaming Princess, almond cake with vanilla buttercream, raspberry preserves and meringue topped with toasted almonds. Their specialty is traditional American desserts and nothing is more classic than pistachio ice box cake. Luigi also says customers shouldn’t over look the oatmeal butterscotch cookie. Stop by and give it a little love.



WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW: The staff is constantly experimenting with ingredients, which is how a lot of their creations come to life. “I absolutely eat sweets all day, everyday. We are ALL constantly surrounded by sugar and are all obsessed with what we have to offer as a sweetshop. There are new concoctions and old favorites being munched on all day long.” Sounds like a tough day at the office 😉
